Course of your three-year apprenticeship as an IT specialist (m/f/d) for application development

Arrival & onboarding

We will welcome you to our team, show you who we are, what we do and what you can expect from us. During your induction, you will get to know agency-specific work processes, your colleagues and more about the content of your training.

Introduction to our software & basics of web development

After you have familiarized yourself a little, we will personally give you a deeper insight into the system structures, web development, interfaces and more. You will also get to know the intersections with other areas of online marketing and implement your first tasks.

Start your vocational school

Your first day at vocational school is around two to three weeks after you start your apprenticeship. Your vocational school is in Münster, only about 15 minutes away by bike. In the first and second year of your apprenticeship, you will spend two days a week at vocational school and three days a week in the company. In the third year of your apprenticeship, you will attend vocational school once a week.

Your vocational school subjects will include subjects such as application development, application software, project management, databases and networks.

First own projects

During your three-year apprenticeship with us, you will continue to develop based on your experience. It is important to us that we challenge you but do not overtax you. You will be given tasks that match your level of knowledge. We don't think much of non-training tasks that don't help you progress, so you will start with training-related development work shortly after your apprenticeship begins. Our team will always be at your side when you need it. Before you know it, your steep learning curve will have you developing customer websites almost single-handedly.

Varied tasks

You will get to know our software better and better through smaller and larger tasks. Our team is always ready to help you if you have any questions or uncertainties. We will show you how you can work more and more independently on front-end development tasks for websites, web applications, online stores, working with REST interfaces and developing modules and plug-ins. You will also take part in meetings to plan system structures and logics and further develop existing applications and systems.

For refreshments, you can look forward to recurring lunch breaks with the team.

In the third year of training...

You can and know more and more and work more and more independently. You will receive further orders and projects of your own and take on the communication for project planning and with the customer yourself in direct exchange. But we won't leave you on your own! If you have any questions or need support, we will of course always be at your side.

The end of your training

The final exam is just around the corner and we will prepare you optimally for it. You will be given the time to work intensively on the content from your training period, work through any uncertainties and study for your exams.

Successfully passed - and now?

After you have successfully completed your final exam, we will discuss the possibilities of taking you on together.

In rare cases, it may turn out that working in development is not your calling after all. In this case, we will discuss further career opportunities with us or beyond. After all, you may be a "finished" IT specialist (m/f/d) for application development, but of course you are far from finished. We will continue to train you with further training courses of your choice. Have you taken a particular liking to SEO or would you like to get a taste of SEA? With us, you have the opportunity to shape your job the way you want it in the long term.

I am very satisfied with my training at DREIKON. I was given plenty of time to tackle new challenges on my own and acquire new skills. The team regularly gave me new input and solutions to problems, so I was always able to learn new techniques and approaches. The volume of work was always appropriate, so I wasn't overworked. The training content in the company and at vocational school complemented each other perfectly, so I was always able to apply the new knowledge straight away.
